<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electrochemical reaction apparatus capable of efficiently carrying out an oxidation/reduction reaction with a good controllability by allowing an ion having moved through a solid electrolyte to interact with a fluid having flowed into the apparatus. <P>SOLUTION: The electrochemical reaction apparatus 20 according to the present invention is constituted of a plurality of electrode terminals 13-1 to 13-n disposed on a composite electrode 12 disposed on a substrate made from a solid electrolyte 11 in the cathode side of a reaction section R, and an electrode terminal 22 disposed on a composite electrode 14 disposed on the substrate made from the solid electrolyte 11 in the anode side of the reaction section R. DC voltage of a few volts is applied between the electrode terminals 13-1 to 13-n and the electrode terminal 22 each disposed in the reaction section R by a DC power source 23. On the upper part of the reaction section R, a counter wall 24 made from a barrier material (a dielectric) is disposed to face the solid electrolyte 11, and an insertion electrode 25 is inserted therein. AC voltage is applied between the electrode terminals 13-1 to 13-n and the insertion electrode 25 each disposed in the cathode side of the reaction section R by a power source 26 for electric discharge, and hence a plasma discharge takes place between the solid electrolyte 11 and the counter wall 24 to form a discharge plasma space S. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT |
