<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve detection accuracy of red-eye in consideration for the individual difference of red-eye such as appearance frequency or color of red-eye. <P>SOLUTION: A face detection means 10 detects a face image F from an entire image P. A recognition means 20 determines whether the detected face image F is a specified person registered in a database 20 or not.
