PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To eliminate reverberant sound in a speaker box so as to improve sound quality. SOLUTION: In a woofer or a midrange speaker using cone paper, although it is sure to need an edge for vibrating cone paper, the edge resonates with resonation sound in the box and gets it ahead because of characteristics of the edge. Unless the resonance of the edge is absorbed, the sound quality can not be improved. An edge cover is used for absorbing the resonance and improving the sound quality. The edge cover is attached in the front or rear of the edge. Consequently, the resonance from the edge can be absorbed and the sound quality more than the conventional one can be improved.
