PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a photographing control method, apparatus and program capable of automatically acquiring an image with excellent layout when a user uses a plurality of photographing apparatuses and photographs almost the same object. SOLUTION: In the photographing control method, thee photographing apparatuses photograph preview images of almost the same object to acquire a plurality of preview images P1 to P3, which are acquired by an image acquisition means 4 of a photographing control apparatus 3. An object region generating means 10 generates object regions obtained by dividing regions of the respective preview images P1 to P3 by each object. Thereafter, a notice degree calculation means 30 calculates a notice degree Tt on the basis of a state of the object regions and calculates a layout evaluation value Ct respectively by each of the preview images P1 to P3 by using the notice degree Tt. Then a photographing instruction means gives a photographing instruction SD to one of the photographing apparatuses for photographing a preview image whose layout evaluation value is greater than a setting threshold value.
