PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image reproducer and a camera preferentially displaying an image desired by a user by solving such a problem that images in a specific folder inside a preselected apparatus are simply sequentially read and displayed, even when an image is newly photographed and added, or even when a storage medium having an image is newly mounted. SOLUTION: The image reproducer comprises: an image transmitter composed of a photographing means for photoelectrically converting a subject image, and a transmission means for transmitting a first image photoelectrically converted by the photographing means; and an image receiver composed of a reception means for receiving the first image transmitted by the transmission means, an image information input means for inputting a second image from the outside, and an image output means for outputting the first image received by the reception means or the second image input by the image information input means. The image output means preferentially outputs the first image when the reception means receives the first image while outputting the second image input by the image information input means.
