PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a culture medium sterilization system making no noise like that made when operating a boiler, easily handled, and providing high temperature water without need of supplementary fuel so as to subject culture media (soil) to heat sterilization. SOLUTION: The culture medium sterilization system is provided with the following: a circulation piping 3 buried in culture media 6 in elevated-cultivation culture beds 5a, 5b equipped in hothouse-cultivation facilities; an electric water heater 2 where one end side of the circulation piping 3 is connected to the side of a hot-water supply port 2a and the other end side of the circulation piping 3 is connected to the side of a water supply port 2b, while water is boiled via power distribution to a heater to produce high-temperature hot water; and a circulation pump 4 mounted in the middle way of the circulation piping 3. The high-temperature water produced by the electric water heater 2 through operating the circulation pump 4 is brought into circulation in the circulation piping 3. COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT
