A surface treatment device sucked by negative pressure to a corner section of two intersecting surfaces and capable of moving along the corner section. The surface treatment device has a pressure reducing container opened in its sides individually facing two intersecting surfaces; a suction seal installed around the opening of the pressure reducing container; negative pressure generation means for extracting fluid from a region surrounded by the pressure reducing container, the suction seal, and the two intersecting surfaces; negative pressure adjustment means for adjusting the negative pressure in the region surrounded by the pressure reducing container, the suction seal, and the two intersecting surfaces; ejection means for ejecting a surface treatment material, such as abrasive, toward the corner section of the two intersecting surfaces; and inertia movement means for causing the device to move along the corner section by using inertia force produced by reciprocation of a weight in the direction away from the corner section and in the direction of movement of the device. |
