In a power-assisted steering mechanism wherein a power piston 1 is connected by a gudgeon pin 2 to a connecting rod 3 rotatably mounted by a crank-pin 4 upon a crank lever 5 splined to a rocket shaft 7 upon which is disposed the steering drop arm, the axis of the crank lever when perpendicular to the longitudinal movements of the piston and when in the median position of movement corresponding to the straight ahead position enclose an angle such that the steering forces acting on the crank lever in the end positions are equal or approximately equal. |
