<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a display that can continue the function as a display, even when a light-emitting element, having a light-emitting diode, stops light emission due to some cause. <P>SOLUTION: A phosphorescent light-emitting element by combining a light-emitting diode that emits light in from a near UV region to a visible light region with a phosphorescent phosphor that is excited by the emitted light of the light-emitting diode and instantaneously emits light, is used as a pixel for displaying an image. Thereby, even after the light emission of the light-emitting diode stops, the display can maintain light emission in a desired color. The phosphorescent light-emitting element preferably comprises a light-emitting diode coated with the phosphorescent phosphor, and the luminous phosphor may be an identical kind of phosphor, or two kinds of phosphors. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT |
