<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a catch basin for a side ditch, which prevents formation of potholes causing walk obstruction in a road surface of a sidewalk, and leads rainwater to the side ditch as quickly as possible. <P>SOLUTION: The catch basin 2 for the side ditch is formed of a catch basin main body 21 which has an opening section H formed in an upper surface thereof, and a curb 22 arranged on the upper surface of the catch basin main body 21. The upper opening section H formed in the catch basin main body 21 has a frame body 23 fixed thereto, which frame body 23 has a water-permeable porous lid 24 removably fitted therein. The curb 22 has a water leading port 22A formed in a lower portion thereof, which is located above the frame body 23 and communicates from the sidewalk 4 to a roadway 3. Then a sheathing board 5 is arranged at a side edge of the frame body 23, close to the sidewalk 4, so as to cover a lower portion of a sidewalk 4-side opening of the water leading port 22A except for a water-flowable opening region S at an upper portion of the sidewalk 4-side opening of the water leading port 22A, and the sidewalk 4 is covered with a paving material 41 placed thereto up to a location of an upper edge of the sheathing board 5. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT</p> |
