PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a magnetization apparatus and a magnetization method for magnetizing a magnetic material that disposed within a yoke housing and forming a permanent magnet, even if a connector is located radially outside the yoke housing. SOLUTION: The magnetization apparatus 40 is provided with at least a pair of magnetized iron cores 41, 44 disposed opposite, and magnetization coils 47, 48 for generating magnetic fields in them. The magnetic material 13a is disposed opposite to an armature 11 within the yoke housing 15, and can be magnetized, in a state where the yoke housing 15 of a motor 1 is disposed between magnetization planes 42, 45 facing a pair of the magnetization iron cores 41, 44. When the yoke housing 15 is disposed between the magnetization planes 42, 45, the magnetization iron core 41 is formed with an accommodating recess 43 for receiving the connector 22 that is radially located outside the yoke housing 15.
