PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an airbag capable of enhancing air-tight property of the airbag by hardly generating deviation of a texture of a base cloth at a bag periphery sewn portion at deployment of the bag. SOLUTION: In the airbag, the base cloth weaved by a base cloth polar fiber is sewn by a thread to be sewn to a bag-like shape. As the thread, a thread is used, which is obtained by slipping-treating an original thread comprising a sewing polar fiber (for example, nylon 66) by a slipping treating agent comprising a polar group-containing compound having lubrication improvement action relative to the thread or containing the polar group-containing compound as a main component.
