PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical module having a connector fixing part that is hard to be detached. SOLUTION: A connector housing space 13 for housing a connector 20 is arranged adjacently to one end of the module body 11. Also, in a position opposing one end of the module body 11 through the connector housing space 13, there are formed first connector movement control parts 12c, 12d. At the same time, in the connector housing space 13, second connector movement control parts 35, 36 opposing the first connector movement control parts 12c, 12d are formed on the connector 20 side. In addition, in the connector housing space 13, spring bodies 41, 42 are put in the space where the first and the second connector movement control parts 12c, 12d, 35, 36 oppositely face with each other, energizing these control parts 12c, 12d, 35 in the expanding direction of that space.
