PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lighting system facilitating replacement work of lamps arranged in positions where working conditions are so bad as to impede work with visual observation. SOLUTION: The lighting system 10 comprises a lighting case 11, an inspection opening 12, lampholders 14, the lamps 15 and guide members 16. The lighting case 11 is disposed at the top of an elevator car. The inspection opening is opened to an upper wall 111 of the lighting case 11 to serve for communication between the inside of the lighting case 11 and a hoistway. The lampholders 14 are provided inside the lighting case 11 and arranged as a pair with insertion ports 141 facing each other. The lamp 15 is connected between the lampholders 14. The guide member 16 is mounted to at least one of the lampholders 14 and formed in conical shape opened toward the other facing lampholder 14 to guide an electrode 151 of the lamp 15 to the insertion port 141.
