A multi-drain device and a drum type washing machine having the same are provided to reduce amount of remaining water and to reduce time taken for draining by installing a branch pipe and impellers at the drum type washing machine. A multi-drain device comprises a cabinet(50), a tub(52), a drain pipe(81), a filter(82), a branch pipe, and a discharge unit. The tub is installed in the cabinet and storing water. The drain pipe is extended from the tub to the outer part of the cabinet. The filter is installed at the drain pipe. The branch is branched from the drain pipe and extended to the outer part of the cabinet. The discharge unit is installed at the drain pipe and the branch pipe to drain water from the tub by force. The discharge unit includes a first impeller(83), a second impeller, a motor, a slave gear, and a main gear. |
