A server for wireless communication to supply a document file to a communication terminal and a method therefor are provided to convert a document file into a document of a format outputted in a communication terminal and to transmit the converted file to a predetermined mobile communication terminal, thereby conveniently downloading a necessary electronic document by using the terminal. An information receiver(220) receives a telephone number and a document file. A file converter(230) converts the document file into a document file of a predetermined format. A DB(260) stores the document file of the predetermined format. A messaging unit(240) transmits a URL(Uniform Resource Locator) where the document file of the predetermined format is stored to a communication terminal corresponding to the telephone number, in text message type. If an access request for the URL is received from the communication terminal, a file transmitter(250) extracts the document file of the predetermined format to send the extracted file to the terminal.
