A filter circuit and a filter device are provided to improve a frequency characteristic of a filter circuit by compensating deterioration in an attenuation characteristic of high frequencies caused by parasitic inductance component existing in series with varistors. A filter circuit includes first and second varistors(43,44) and a resistor(45) connected between the first and the second varistors. An input terminal(47) is connected to a junction between the first varistor and the resistor via the first coil, and an output terminal(49) is connected to a junction between the second varistor and the resistor via the second coil. A ground terminal is connected to a side of the first varistor opposite from the resistor and a side of the second varistor opposite from the resistor.
