ACCESS OF DATA RESOURCE USING PAUSE POINT

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To allow consumers of multi-media content to have personal pause points in programs.

SOLUTION: When a user presses a pause button 108 on a personal domain controller 10, the personal domain controller stores a content's identifier and a current position in its memory 112. When the user press a play button 110, a pause point is transmitted to a TV through either a local link 12 or a wireless link 13. In this case, the TV plays the data resource content starting at the point indicated by the pause point.
