<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image processing method capable of obtaining image data in which a chart drawn on an image is visibly corrected without degrading an image of bit map data included in the image data described by a page description language. <P>SOLUTION: Image data including the bit map data of an image, a drawing instruction for drawing a chart on the image and gradation value information for specifying a gradation value of the chart to be drawn by the drawing instruction are acquired and whether the gradation value specified by the gradation value information included in the acquired image data is not less than a prescribed gradation value or not is judged (step S32).
