<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image input device capable of obtaining satisfactory reproduced images, without requiring high-quality imaging optical system, and to provide an image input method. <P>SOLUTION: The image input device is designed, such that an image formed by one or more imaging lenses 2 that image light from an object 1 is photographed by an imaging means 3. As the imaging lens 1, a single lens is used; the single lens is such that the gain of an optical transmission function is fite and the difference in gain due to field angle is small; and the image input device has correction arithmetic means 4 and 5 that correct deterioration of image due to the imaging lens 2 by calculation. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT |
