<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent the effect of purifying an ink ejection surface from being decreased when cleaning by a brush is carried out many times. <P>SOLUTION: The brush 103 which brushes off an adhering substance adhered to a nozzle face 901a of an inkjet head 901, and a wiper blade 201 which wipes the adhering substance are installed. Both the brush 103 and the wiper blade 201 are set on a mobile base 301. A moving mechanism 600 moves the mobile base 301 along a main scanning direction. The brush 103 and the wiper blade 201 are moved by the moving mechanism 600, whereby the entire surface of the nozzle face 901a is cleaned. A suction opening is formed in the brush 103. A suction unit 701 sucks the adhering substance of the brush 103 through the suction opening.
