PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent damage to a holder case which has a drive member and a temperature sensing member arranged inside and is formed of a synthetic resin material and to improve weather resistance of the holder case. SOLUTION: A starting device mounting flange 16b vertically extended is formed on a cover member 16 arranged on an upper end face 12a of a carburetor main body 1, and a plunger guide hole 17 is horizontally bored into the starting device mounting flange 16b. A mounting collar part 21b of the holder case 21 of a plunger valve type starting device V is arranged on the starting device mounting flange 16b. A flat plate part 27a of a mounting plate 27 is inserted into a lock groove 21c of the mounting collar part 21b, and is screwed into the starting device mounting flange 16b. The holder case 21 of the plunger valve type starting device V is arranged horizontally, and the upper side face 21d of the holder case 21 is arranged to face a protection piece 27b.
