PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a building capable of improving the appearance of the whole building while taking economy in daily life into account and ensuring lifeline at the time of an earthquake disaster when installing a rainwater utilizing device. SOLUTION: This building 10 is constructed in such a way that a parapet wall 12 is provided in an upper part of an outer peripheral wall 11, a roof 20 is provided in a part surrounded by the parapet wall 12, the parapet wall 12 and the roof 20 are mutually connected by an internal gutter part 30 for receiving rainwater, a drain pipe 31 for draining rainwater is embedded into the internal gutter part 30, and the rainwater utilizing device 40 provided with a rainwater purifying tank 41 connected with the drain pipe 31 to store and purify rainwater and a distributing water pipe 42 connected with the rainwater purifying tank 41 and arranged in a predetermined section of the building 10 is installed on an inner side of the outer peripheral wall 11 below the internal gutter part 30.
