PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To realize a method and a device for hydraulically separating and removing a mortar around the window frame of a concrete building and the window frame from the skeleton thereof in such a manner that vibration and noise do not occur and dust is not produced. SOLUTION: In this window frame removal method, the mortar and the window frame are separated together from the skeleton by hydraulically press-fitting a wedge means in a boundary position between the mortar around the window frame and the skeleton. By this method, all the periphery of the window frame can be separated and removed by separating the each part of the window frame. Since the wedge is hydraulically press-fitted, the window frame can be removed in a short period without producing noise, vibration, and dust. When a device used exclusively for wedge driving is used, the separating and removing operations can be easily performed. COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT
