PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a road sweeper capable of exerting sufficient sweeping performance even if it travels at a higher speed without the upsizing of a blower etc. SOLUTION: A sweep-up brush 11, which is brought into contact with a road surface so as to sweep up dust on the road surface, is installed as a sweeping unit in a rear position in the traveling direction of a vehicle with respect to an air suction port 21 in a suction hood 30 in such a manner as to be rotatable in the direction of sweeping up the dust to the side of the air suction port 21. Air is ejected toward a ground contact part of the sweep-up brush 11 from an air ejection port 22, which is opened in a rear position in the traveling direction of the vehicle with respect to the sweep-up brush 11, of the suction hood 30.
