PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a termite-proof member easily constructed, dispensing with a power supply and capable of preventing termite damage of a building. SOLUTION: The termite-proof member the whole of which is formed of a copper plate, comprises a plate-like body part 11x clamped between a foundation structure 14 fixed to the ground G, and a sill 12 of the building 13 constructed on the foundation structure 14, and termite return parts 11y protrusively provided toward the inside and outside of the building 13 from both sides of the body part 11x. The vertical section of the termite return parts 11y in a direction to cross the sill 12 is formed in approximately spiral shape formed by a plurality of plane parts 11a-11e and a plurality of right-angled bent parts. Termites R creeping up along the outer side face and inner side face of the foundation structure 14 from the ground G are guided into the termite return parts 11y from the lower face of the body part 11x of the termite-proof member 11 and eventually reach the vicinity of the spiral center to get into an unmovable state and die out.
