PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a helmet, capable of wearing on and off the helmet worn on the head part of a helmet wearer by using a relatively small force, and also performing its operations simply and rapidly including preliminary operation. SOLUTION: This helmet is provided with that a projection with recess-fitting mechanism for attaching a block-formed interior pad 38b to a cap-formed head-protecting body side consists of a male hook 56 at the interior pad 38b side and a female hook at the head part-protecting body side. An interrupting part 87 of a pad-taking out member 81 having a pulling means 83 interrupts between the male hooks 56a, 56c and the female hook to release the projection with recess-fitting, and also can pull out the pad by engaging the male hooks 56a, 56c toward the outer part of the head-protecting body at least to its middle part.
