PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a new positioning tool for welding with which the stud welding of a tight frame can be simply performed in parallel to the longitudinal direction of a beam material in the center in the width direction on the flange of the beam material in a good state by using general studs, ferrules for stud welding and a stud gun. SOLUTION: The positioning tool for welding is constituted of: a pair of base members 1, 1 composed of a flange engaging member 1a which is engaged with the flange of the beam material and a position controlling member 1b of the tight frame for controlling the position of the tight frame; a pair of supporting members 2, 2 which are fixed to both the base members 1, 1 and with which the relative position of the flange engaging member 1a and the position controlling member 1b of the tight frame is prescribed; a pair of abutting members 3, 3 both the ends of which are respectively fixed to both the supporting members 2, 2 and with which the movement in the longitudinal direction of the beam material of the tight frame is controlled and four guide members 4, 4, 4, 4 which are fixed to both the supporting members 2, 2 and made into a cylindrical shape into which the nozzle part of the stud gun is inserted freely slidably and with which the stud gun is guided.
