PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a casting apparatus which can easily take out a cast product and can manufacture the cast product at a low cost, and further to provide a casting method using the same casting apparatus. SOLUTION: The casting apparatus 1 comprises an upper mold 2 capable of moving in the vertical direction, and a lower mold 3 for defining a cavity 4 together with the upper mold 2. The lower mold 3 is supported by a supporting frame 13 so as to be inverted. After the upper mold 2 has been lifted and the lower mold 3 has been inverted, the cast product 6 is taken out by pushing it by applying an impact force to stripper pins 7.
