ROTOR ASSEMBLY, ROTARY PHASE SEPARATOR, AND METHOD FOR RECOVERING LIQUID FROM TWO-PHASE FLOW

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a two-phase separator which efficiently separates gas from liquid and minimizes power consumption and is small in size and light in weight. SOLUTION: The rotary phase separator 14 is normally provided with a stepped rotary drum type separator 16 (RDS) and a motor assembly 18. The rotary phase separator 14 accumulates water and minimizes a pressure output with an aspect ratio of a stepped drum 50. An accumulator part 52 of the RDS16 has a relatively small diameter to minimize an output loss and is long in an axial direction to accumulate a large amount of water. An impeller pump part 54 of the RDS 16 has a large diameter to obtain a lift and is short in an axial direction to reduce the output loss. The RDS 16 rotates at a low speed when separating a gas phase from a liquid phase and rotates at a high speed when forcibly feeding water. COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT
