PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the welding intensity between a joint device and a coupling member. SOLUTION: A reclining device 4 as a joint device has a ratchet 10, a guide 20, a set plate 30, three poles 40a to 40c, and a turning cam 50. An inner tooth part 11 having inner teeth 11a is formed along the periphery of the ratchet 10. The poles 40a to 40c having outer teeth 41a to 41c are disposed at guide groove parts 22a to 22c which are each placed circumferentially at intervals of 90 degrees. The rotary cam 50 pushes out the poles 40a to 40c accompanied by its axial rotation to allow them to be engaged with the inner tooth part 11. The space between the pole 40a and the pole 40c is set larger than the other two spaces. The larger space is turnably displaced to another in position by the rotation of an intermittent surface 11b formed on the inner tooth part 11. The larger area coming in the same plane as the external disk surface 20b of the guide groove parts 22a to 22c forms a connection surface to be welded onto a cushion frame.
