A navigation device is programmed to download multi-day ephemeris data from a computer server, the device displaying an indication of the status of the multi-day ephemeris data stored on the device. Because the status of the multi-day ephemeris data is made explicit, the user can have a better understanding of what multi-day ephemeris data is present on the device. In particular, displaying an indication of the status could include displaying an indication of the freshness of the multi-day ephemeris data stored on the device. The device can also display an option that, if selected by a user, causes fresh multi-day ephemeris data to be transferred to the device from the computer server. |
