The subject matter of the invention relates to a support device (1) for a personal navigation system portable apparatus (100), for mounting said apparatus in the passenger compartment of a vehicle, which device comprises means (2b) for guiding the apparatus, means (3) for locking the apparatus once it has been mounted on the support device, means (4) for releasing the apparatus and means (5, 6) for removing the apparatus by automatically releasing the apparatus. The means for removing the apparatus advantageously comprise a drawer (5) movable between a position in which the apparatus is locked and a position in which the apparatus can be removed, and provided with a first abutment (6) enabling the removal of the apparatus.
