<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a compression assembly for retaining a patient's breast during a biopsy procedure. <P>SOLUTION: The compression assembly 22 is provided for retaining the patient's breast during the biopsy procedure. The compression assembly 22 comprises a frame and a compression plate. The frame is connected with a positioning member 16 through connection members. The connection members are constituted so that the compression assembly 22 may be adjustable and/or removable from the positioning member 16 or another supporting part.
