PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a composite particle having highly stabilized enzyme activity, to provide a process for producing the composite particle and to provide a cleansing composition comprising the composite particle. SOLUTION: The composite particle comprises a paraffin wax, a starch-degrading enzyme and at least one kind of enzyme activity stabilizer selected from a polyhydric alcohol, a nonionic surfactant and a water-soluble polymer. The cleansing composition comprises the composite particle. The process for producing the composite particle comprises mixing the paraffin wax with the starch-degrading enzyme and the enzyme activity stabilizer, regulating the resultant mixture to a temperature not lower than the softening temperature (or melting point) of the paraffin wax and cooling and solidifying the mixture.
