PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve problems that a glass substrate is easily broken by the larger deformation of glass and the increase of stress loaded on the glass compared to conventional one when the glass substrate made thin and larger-sized is elevated or supported in a transportation step. SOLUTION: The glass substrate for display contains by mass 50-70% SiO<SB>2</SB>, 7-20% Al<SB>2</SB>O<SB>3</SB>, 7-17% B<SB>2</SB>O<SB>3</SB>, 0-10% MgO, 0-15% CaO, 0-15% SrO and 0-30% BaO and has≥0°C (fictive temperature-glass transition temperature).
