PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sensor holder capable of reutilizing a spherical sensor element, capable of efficiently and easily performing the contact of a chemical liquid, a sample or the like with the spherical sensor element and advantageous from an aspect of cost reduction. SOLUTION: A through-hole 40, to which a spherical surface acoustic wave element 10 is held in a detachable manner, is formed to a sensor holder base material 32 so as to pierce the same in its thickness direction. A holding part 34 is constituted so that the spherical surface acoustic wave element 10 having an inner diameter smaller than the outer diameter of a sensitive region 12A is held to the lower part of the inner peripheral surface of the trough-hole 40 in a detachable manner. A liquid holding recess 36 is formed to the inner peripheral surface part of the through-hole 40 opposed to the sensitive region 12A. An introducing passage 38 is constituted so that a liquid L (chemical solution) is introduced into the liquid holding recess 36 to come into contact with the sensitive region 12A by its surface tension.
