PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a refrigerator including an ice making device, achieving power-saving and improving convenience. SOLUTION: After ice is separated from an ice making tray 9, water is supplied from a water supply tank 4 to the ice making tray 9 by a water supply motor 7 regardless of detection of a water supply tank tank detecting part 19. After the water is supplied from the water supply tank 4 to the ice making tray 9, the water level of the ice making tray 9 is detected by a water level detecting part. When the ice making tray 9 reaches a predetermined water level, ice making is completed, and after ice is separated, water supply operation is performed. When the ice making tray 9 does not reach the predetermined water level, the water supply motor 7 is stopped until the water supply tank 4 is removed and mounted. When the removal and mounting of the water supply tank 4 are detected by the water supply tank detecting part 19, the water is supplied from the water supply tank 4 to the ice making tray 9 by the water supply motor 7. Further, in the case where the ice making tray 9 does not reach the predetermined water level, when the state where the water supply tank is not mounted elapses for a predetermined time, and opening and closing of a door 8 are detected, the water is supplied from the water supply takn 4 to the ice making tray 9.
