The present invention relates to molecules extracted from the mother-of-pearl of molluscs and to the process for extracting them. It also relates to a composition, in particular an edible composition, comprising molecules extracted from the mother-of-pearl. The edible composition according to the invention is more particularly intended to promote bone stock maintenance, skin moisturization and/or epidermal and dermal restructuring.
