The melt spinning of multi-threaded yarns for the production of threads, comprises extruding filaments (4) through spinneret holes (5) of a nozzle plate (3) and flowing the underside of the nozzle plate with rinsing fluid, which is produced within a resting area formed through an end of a blowing candle and the underside of the plate. The rinsing fluid is supplied from below the plate over a section of a metallic supply canal (7) within the blowing candle and discharges through ring shaped rinsing opening (8) in the supply canal. The melt spinning of multi-threaded yarns for the production of threads, comprises extruding filaments (4) through spinneret holes (5) of a nozzle plate (3) and flowing the underside of the nozzle plate with rinsing fluid, which is produced within a resting area formed through an end of a blowing candle and the underside of the plate. The rinsing fluid is supplied from below the plate over a section of a metallic supply canal (7) within the blowing candle and discharges through ring shaped rinsing opening (8) into the supply canal. The fluid is heated before discharging from the opening. A free end at the under side of the plate adjoins in heat transmitters. The filaments are cooled below the nozzle plate by a cooling airflow, which is produced by the candle concentrically aligned to the plate. Nitrogen or water steam is used as the rinsing fluid. An independent claim is included for a device for melt spinning of multi-threaded yarn.
