INFORMATION TERMINAL DEVICE AND CHARACTER DATA DISPLAY METHOD

It is possible to surely prevent leak of confidential data from an information terminal device. The information terminal device includes a first function to selectively display standard data and display contents of the standard data when the standard data is selected and a second function to selectively display confidential data and display contents of the confidential data when the confidential data is selected. The first function is started by selecting it from a selection menu. The second function is not displayed on the selection menu and started only when an operation unit of the information terminal device is operated in a predetermined series of operations. While the operation unit is operated in the predetermined series of operations, no screen accompanying the operations is displayed. Thus, the existence of the confidential data is not noticed by a third person. Even when the confidential data is handled on the information terminal device, the confidential data will not leak out.
