<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide: a liquid cooling device which reduces the influence by dew condensation of steam generated from a recording medium on adjacent points; and an image forming apparatus on which the liquid cooling device is mounted. <P>SOLUTION: The cooling system of the image forming apparatus cools a temperature rising section of the image forming apparatus by bringing a cooling section which is lower in temperature than in the temperature rising section of the image forming apparatus into contact with or proximity to the temperature rising section. The surface of the cooling section is characterized in that it has water repellency and has a moisture moving means for moving the moisture sticking to the surface of the cooling section to a prescribed point. The moisture condensed on the surface of the cooling section does not, therefore, diffuse on the surface of the cooling section but becomes substantially spherical form and consequently, comes to roll on the surface of the cooling section with ease. Since the cooling system has the moisture moving means, the moisture can be removed from the surface of the cooling section, so that the adhesion of the moisture to the surrounding on the surface of the cooling section can be prevented. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT |
