<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve various problems which occur with increases in the number of icons when displaying a plurality of icons on a road map screen. <P>SOLUTION: A control part acquires and stores facility information matched with search conditions input by a user from a database, performs the information selection processing of rearranging the facility information into prescribed order of priority (for example, order of distance from a current position of a self-vehicle), and extracts the facility information of a preset number (for example, 5) in the order of priority. An facility icon N indicating the location of the facility information extracted in this way is displayed on a road map screen displayed on a display device 9 (Fig. 4(a)). The number of icons to be displayed on the road map screen M is altered according to the user's operations of increasing and reducing the amount of information (Fig. 4(b) and (c)).
