<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide "a device for discriminating road shapes" for properly discriminating the road shapes of roads on the periphery of an own vehicle. <P>SOLUTION: A traveling track of each other vehicle obtained by an other vehicle tracking part 3 to track the other vehicles rearward of the own vehicle detected by a radar positioning device 1 and a traveling track of the own vehicle calculate reliability being the traveling track along the road shape by an operation state or the like of a speed v, an acceleration dv and angular velocity dθand a blinker of each vehicle. The road shape expressing the traveling track of high reliability is estimated as the road shape rearward of the own vehicle.
