PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a burnishing tool which forms dimples and performs burnishing by using a simple device. SOLUTION: The burnishing tool 1 has a retainer 5 which is externally fitted to a mandrel 2 in a freely rotatable manner and holds a rolling body for rolling on an outer peripheral surface of the mandrel 2 by the rotation of the mandrel 2. The mandrel 2 is provided with a projection part 23b2 which is engaged with the rolling body and is an approximately polygonal shape in the cross section view on the outer peripheral surface of the mandrel 2. The retainer 5 is inserted so as to face an inner peripheral surface of a workpiece, holds the rolling body in a freely appearing/disappearing manner from the outer peripheral surface of the retainer 5 in the radial direction, engages the projection part 23b2 and the rolling body by the rotation of the mandrel 2, and rolls the rolling body by oscillating it with respect to the inner peripheral surface of the workpiece.
