PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fuel tank restricting permeation of the fuel inside the tank and improved in degree of freedom in design, and also to provide a fuel tank manufacturing method of manufacturing the fuel tank. SOLUTION: A joint part 26 of two fuel tank structures 16 and 18 is formed with two barrier layers 24A and 24B close to each other and while formed with a folding part 30, and resin layers 22C and 22D are formed thin and long. A fitting part 34 of a fuel tank structuring part 32 is formed with a flange part 40, and resin layers 22A and 22C are formed thin and long. With this structure, mountability of the fuel tank 12 in a vehicle is improved, and a larger capacity is secured, and since bending strength is secured high in the joint part 26, a design flexibility is improved.
