PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a transfer fixing device using transfer fixing technique to obtain a fixing effect by pressure without delaying in time by heating a toner image transferred to a transfer fixing member before bringing it into contact with a recording medium and bringing the toner image into contact with the recording medium in a melted state, thereby transferring and fixing it. SOLUTION: The transfer fixing device is equipped with: the transfer fixing member 1 rotating while holding the transferred toner image on its peripheral surface; a heating means 14 heating the toner image on the transfer fixing member to the melted state; and a pressure member 2 coming into contact with the peripheral surface of the transfer fixing member and forming a nip part N, and transfers and fixes the toner image on the recording medium while pressuring it in a process where the recording medium is made to pass through the nip part. It is equipped with a pressing member 31 arranged to be opposed to the pressure member through the transfer fixing member and forming a nip part facing to the pressure member side with the pressure member.
