PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a flux gate type magnetic sensor capable of compensating easily a temperature. SOLUTION: This flux gate type magnetic sensor includes a magnetic sensor 1 built in with a magnetic sensor element 10 and a temperature sensor 12 for measuring a temperature of the magnetic sensor element 10, and a heat pipe 32 with one end connected to the magnetic sensor 1, and with the other end drawn out to an outside of the magnetic sensor 1 to be connected to a temperature regulator 30 arranged in the outside of magnetic sensor 1. The heat pipe 32 comprises a nonmagnetic substance, and the whole of the temperature regulator 30 is covered with a magnetic shield 31. The magnetic sensor 1 is temperature-compensated by supplying heat to the magnetic sensor 1 via the heat pipe 32 by the temperature regulator 30, or sinking heat from the magnetic sensor 1, based on a measured temperature from the temperature sensor 12.
