POLYMER-MODIFIED BIOACTIVE SYNTHETIC CHEMOKINE, METHODS FOR THEIR MANUFACTURE AND USE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a chemokine playing an important part in inflammatory disease, especially a strong antagonist to a PANTES group. SOLUTION: The in-vivo bioactive synthetic chemokine such as PANTES G1755, G1805 and G1806 has a water-soluble polymer binding to the N-terminus and/or the C-terminus, and is characterized by downmodulation of a corresponding receptor. The water-soluble polymer is a polysaccharide such as dextran and a synthetic polymer such as a polyethylene glycol, and modifies the N-terminus and/or C-terminus of the chemokine by a part of an aliphatic chain, an amino acid, an amino acid derivative or the like.
