The method involves providing data that describes geometries of a component of a motor vehicle and a reservoir, respectively, where the reservoir is used during a dipping varnish process. Data characterizing corrodibility of the component is provided in dependence on precipitation characteristics of a dipping varnish liquid. An electrical potential in a preset period is calculated based on a current flow value and/or a voltage characteristic value between electrodes. A current density is computed based on the potential and/or the current value. The corrodibility is predicted based on the data. An independent claim is also included for a computer program product comprising memory and a software for performing a motor vehicle`s component corrodibility predicting method.
